Trust Administration

When a person passes away and leaves behind an estate plan that includes a Trust, it falls to the Trustee to begin the process of administering the Trust and the related Estate. The process includes successfully managing and eventually distributing the assets held by the Trust according to the decedent’s wishes and instructions.

California Trustees have specific deadlines and tasks, including filing proper notices, keeping beneficiaries informed, locating and transferring assets, addressing tax issues, settling debts and liabilities, and distributing the assets to the intended beneficiaries.
